Now that’s just greedy !

Just when you thought you’d seen it all, here comes a guy who’s playing two saxes at once.

Anyone want to lend me a tenor ?

Our Colin likes tunes that feature two melodies at once.  Here’s his suggestion for a tune to be turned into a Sax Ensemble spectacular.  It’s “You’re just in love” from Call me Madam,  with Ethel Merman and Donald O'Connor.

Oh - and don’t forget to check out Jem’s alternative version below   Almost as tuneful and probably more in keeping with the atmosphere at weekly rehearsals !

Swedish Chef meets “You’re just in Love”  ... aided in this musical criminality by no less than Cleo Laine !

And Finally ....

Here’s the Amstel Saxophone Quartet showing just how versatile a sax quartet can be, and how well suited the sax to even the most sensitive of orchestral works.

Particularly listen out for the second piece, Samuel Barber’s Adagio for Strings.  It’s one of my favourites ... Oh, and here’s an intertesting fact for those that have trouble remembering their solos ...
