The Isle of Man boasts a number of musical groups that feature saxophones in their line-up - besides ourselves of course.

 

Here’s a quick line-up ...

 

IOM Wind Orchestra

 

The Wind Orchestra is an established group, featuring woodwind, brass and percussion sections.  They play a wide variety of music, and meet for rehearsals on Thursday nights at Marown School.

 

Manx Youth Orchestra

 

The youth orchestra practices at St. Ninian's upper school in Douglas on Saturday mornings.

 

Blue Train Big Band

 

Blue train is a Swing / Blues band with a classic 18-piece Big Band fomation, playing a wide variety of music from Kenton, Basie and Miller libraries through to the 21st century sounds of the Big Phat Band

This section will feature articles, guides etc. that are of interest to saxophonists.  This may be in the form of documents that you can download, or links to useful resource sites on the web.
